Statement and ambitious plans for 2025

After a period of silence, it’s time to provide the explanation you deserve. Bulbware has faced significant challenges over the past few years, including personal health and family issues that led to delays in our development and financial setbacks. As a result, we’ve made the decision to pursue separate paths. Simon is currently working on his project, Bad Cheese, while Bulbware transitions into a sole proprietorship.

Unfortunately, our games have been removed from Google and Apple platforms due to a lack of updates for the latest operating systems. To compound matters, Google has blocked our developer account, and our attempts to resolve this through client support have been unproductive. Consequently, we have lost faith in mobile gaming and are shifting our focus towards developing truly independent games for PC, Mac, and consoles.

We sincerely appreciate all the love and kind messages we’ve received. Many of you may not have received a response, and for that, We apologize. It has been challenging to confront these setbacks, as we really wanted to share some good news with you.

Over the past five months, I have been revitalizing the company and diligently working to complete all delayed projects. We are eager to bring joy back to our community in 2025 with an exciting lineup of games:

1. Bulb Boy – Jar Of Despair (PC first) – Development is nearly complete. Prepare for an adventure filled with jammy monsters as we delve into a sticky and unsettling world.

2. Poopdie (PC, Nintendo Switch) – This full edition will include all three episodes. We are currently working on porting it to PC.

3. Kosmosis (Playdate, PC) – A dark space explorer, shooter and adventurer featuring two xenobiologists, paralleling Bulbware’s journey. This project originated from a short internal demo for Playdate console.

All the best,
Artur
